Tet Yap qualified from Cambridge in 2000, before completing specialised training at St George’s, Bart’s and University College London Hospital. He then underwent fellowships at Stanford, Memorial Sloane Kettering, University College London Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital specialising in andrology and paediatric urology. Tet has been a Consultant Urologist at St George’s Hospital and The Royal Marsden since 2014.
Tet specialises in complex andrology, fertility, erectile dysfunction, implants and penile curvature. He has been heavily involved in setting up the complex andrology interventions service at St George’s Hospital and the development of the South West London male fertility unit. The Royal Marsden took Tet on to set up their andrology unit to include erectile dysfunction and fertility service.
Outside of clinical practice Tet is a selection interviewer for registrar selection as well as research lead and contributing editor at the British Journal of Urology International. He is also involved in charitable work with Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina Children’s Hospital.
Alongside urology, Tet is also the director of Glass magazine, a cutting edge modern culture magazine. When he’s not working Tet can usually be found spending time with his family or practicing his aces on the tennis court.
